John Shear is VP of Investments for the Shear Family Office. He is responsible forhelping manage investments across private and public equity, private and public credit,hedge funds and other alternative investment vehicles. He is an ardent Zionist andbeliever in Israel.
Through their family foundation, the Shear family believes insupporting a wide array of organizations who strive to help Israel be a light onto thenations from food insecurity to fighting antisemitism. Prior to this role, John was aconvertible bond trader, first for a small hedge fund and then a large proprietary tradingfund in Chicago. However, John and his family recently relocated to South Florida.Despite this, John will always be a lover of all things Pittsburgh from the Steelers to thePenguins and even Pirates.
