John Shear is VP of Investments for the Shear Family Office. He is responsible for helping manage investments across private and public equity, private and public credit,hedge funds and other alternative investment vehicles.
Through their family foundation, the Shear family believes in supporting a wide array of organizations from food insecurity to fighting antisemitism. Prior to this role, John was a convertible bond trader, first for a small hedge fund and then a large proprietary tradingfund in Chicago. However, John and his family recently relocated to South Florida. Despite this, John will always be a lover of all things Pittsburgh from the Steelers to the Penguins and even Pirates.
