Our Mission

To inspire pro-Israel engagement, enhance Israel’s defense capabilities, and serve those affected by October 7th.

October 7th and its aftermath dramatically impacted Israel and world Jewry, and altered the landscape of Israeli society.

On October 8th, in response to the brutal murder of our dear friend David Newman at the Nova Festival, we opened a WhatsApp group called Let’s Do Something. That’s how five bereaved young friends put in motion something they never imagined: A global effort to uplift, support, and empower the citizens of Israel, and people around the world.

Today, the State and people of Israel are dealing with the aftermath of this history-shaping event, and will be doing so for years and decades to come. Let’s Do Something is a hands-on response leader that inspires others to step up, and like us,

DO SOMETHING.

Our Vision

A safer Israel, a brighter future for her citizens, and an inspired tomorrow for young Jews and youth around the world.

Our commitment

As a group of friends in their twenties who transformed their own lives into DOING something for Israel, we will always lead by example as we execute projects that make a significant contribution to supporting the defense of Israel, assisting those impacted by October 7th, and inspiring pro-Israel engagement around the world.

Let’s Do Something

The Core Values that define…

Our work environment

Honesty:  In our dealings with one another as individuals, and in our work, our meetings, and our representation of LDS, we are always honest. We never hide or fudge information, and never misrepresent a situation. We are secure in being honest, open, and forthright because we know that those at LDS relate to one another from a perspective of—

I Got Your Back and How Can I Help:  We are here to help one another do her or his best at achieving our tasks, objectives, and goals. We recognize that internal competition will hinder our efforts. Our shared environment and culture is one where we celebrate one another’s successes, because every success is another piece of actualizing our mission, and every failure is an opportunity to learn how to do the job better.

Responsible and Accountable: Responsible: When we commit to doing something, we see it through. We don’t let things fall through the cracks. Accountable: We have a “the buck stops here” attitude to our work and responsibilities. If we fall behind or fall short, we don’t look for excuses or to blame others, rather we honestly and openly present the challenges we are facing and seek assistance.

Daring Thinking: We don’t merely encourage out-of-the-box thinking, we challenge ourselves to totally ignore the “box,” to not fear proposing impossible and unrealistic solutions, and to bring bold, imaginative thinking to every challenge we—and the people we serve—are facing.

Our relationship to Israel and the Jewish people

Am Yisrael Chai: We are a proudly Zionist organization in which we feel grateful for the historic opportunity to help and support the state and people of Israel. We embrace the opportunity to involve others in this great mission.

Our organizational attitude

Audacious: In defending, supporting, and advocating for the state and people of Israel, we believe that whatever needs to get done, must get done. We are creative, proactive, and when necessary, absolutely unconventional.

Bottom line: With every challenge, in every realm, whatever needs arise, whatever needs to get done, we’ll do everything we can to figure out how to respond and GET IT DONE.
